Sapeurs Pompiers Colmar Renault Galion T2

Sapeur pompiers Colmar 68 - France
Escape Ladder 18 meters Gugumus & Charton on Renault Galion T2. (1982)

Served the Colmar fire station from 1960 to 2004.
Now still based in the fire station and was acquired by the city’s FS association.
These types of engines can be seen in French cities with very old medieval or roman city centers where TTL can’t operate.
Even though the good old T2 Renaults have now retired they where all replaced by new models.

This Escape Ladder is shown in picture 19294, being deployed. Photo also by Jacques, of a very interesting apparatus, thanks.

18 metres gives 59 feet....were our UK/NZ & Australia Escape Ladder fans able to figure out how it operates?

Don't all answer at once {;>)
