This Camiva unit is a high capacity pump, with two long rear access lockers above the side lockers. These contain pre-connected flaked 110mm hoses for hook-up to high capacity hydrants, and/or relaying water to another pumper. This concept is similar to the almost universal practice in North America, where 125mm hoses are used in most places to connect to hydrants. It is, however, not very common in Europe except for France, and by no means universal in France, where twinned 65mm hoses are more often deployed.
Both of these Berliets have two one-man hose carts, each with ten 20 meter lengths of 65mm hose, which are used for general firefighting and hydrant connection where a 110mm hydrant outlet is not installed.
They also have a single 23mm first aid hose reel. Just as in other countries, these are not used for interior structure firefighting, as the delivery maxes out at around 150 LPM. 38mm or 45mm hoses are carried in the side lockers for interior structure firefighting, fitted with 150 to 450 LPM variable flow branches.
