New York Fire Department USA Ladder Truck 4 - Seagrave Battalion 9 "Pride of Midtown" July 1999 in Broadway district Alarm for carbon monoxide in a high rise hotel
This 1989 Seagrave 110ft heavy-duty rearmount ladder was from an order of four and was the 1st (SL8901)delivered and went to Ladder Co4 at 782 8th Street in Manhattan with Engine Co54 and Battalion 9. The second,delivered in 1990 went to Ladder Co49 at 1160 Ogden Avenue with Engine Co68.The second ordered from the 1989 order was assigned to Ladder Co165 in the Borough of Queens with Engine Co 317,where as the second of the models ordered in 1990 and the last of the four went to Ladder Co 138 with Engine Co 289 also in the Borough of Queens.The later(L138)was slightly different in appearance with extra chrome and had a broad white strip running the full length of the lower body which had been introduced into the new look FDNY livery from around 1987/88.
