This is from 1940,its a Leyland Cub FK8 Pump Escape(reg-EOD 267)which was delivered new to Brixham Urban District Council Fire Brigade in Devon in April of 1940.Sorry,I've no historical details on this Leyland Cub so maybe Morgan,or the present owner-Nick Baker can fill us in on a little bit more on its history. The war years(NFS)and when it finally went out of service, etc. Come on Morgan,if you will put these classic pictures on this site of a classic fire engine,it would be interesting if we had a little bit of information.Sorry mate,I don't wish to sound to critical but a picture without some historical documentation in reference to the picture seems pointless and very un-interesting. Its like putting a picture of a Dennis on the site, and saying I took this picture-its a Dennis. I've tried to add what info I can find, maybe you or Nick can add something else to this photo of yours which many of us old-timers appreciate.I'm sure there's many who would like to know more.
