What year was this apparatus built? Is your Olympus camera a digital one?

Hi George,
The year this apparatus was built is 2000. The Olympus C-700 is a digital camera with a 10 x optical zoomlens. Great camera !!

The location of this apparatus is city of Heinola. There comes HE on the side of vehicle. Heinola belong the region of P�ij�t-H�me, and it�s rescue department. (12 cities or communes)

Nice piece of kit this.
I bet it goes like a rocket, given the fact it's got 350 bhp, compared to around 250 bhp for uk pumping appliances.

Would love to see this flying up Micklegate hill in York!

Finland will have new unit ID system whole country. Ambulances and police have to chance also. In Finland have future only 7 emergency center and they can alarm units from other emergency center's area, so there can't be same ID different units.

Now this is HE12 (second WrT in first station of city Heinola) New ID is probably 2RPH4012, 2 is emergency center number, R means Rescue PH is fire department 40 is station number in Päijät-Häme 1 means WrT, because this is second same type vehicle so there is 2 in end.

The 18 ton GVW will allow for a large tank - possibly up to 4, 000 liters?

Looked at their website. They are building pump water tenders on two axle 18 ton chassis with 5, 000 liter tanks, so this could well be one such unit.

Even at full load, 350 BHP should - as John points out - get it moving rather smartly!
