West Sussex Scania 09

Here is Lancing's new Scania which is due to go on the run hopefully very soon. It is one of four Scania's to arrive in West Sussex in 2009, with the other three awaiting to go on the run at Horsham, Haywards Heath and East Grinstead.

Hi Pete. I have been aware of the ten new Scanias for some time and like collecting photos of all the appliances in West Sussex and have good photos of nearly all eighteen of the Scanias.

But I do have to admit Pete, that I do have trouble keeping up with every one, but I've only been going on this site since about spring, and only just started getting into West Sussex Fire Appliances since last year.

Now, Pete I wondered if you could answer a question I have. The question being is that a few weeks ago I managed to pop down to Chichester Fire Station to take some pictures of the station and the appliances. But while down there I noticed that the Sabre was still at Chichester, even though the station's new Scania was on the run, so wondered what had happened to the previous Scania.

Danny,I can't say whats happening at the moment with any of the movements of the older Scania's.I'm sure Calvin will keep us updated once all the movements have been finally finalised.Lets be honest, the MANS are still not on the run,Crawleys was at Burgess Hill and Henfield'Open Days'(did'nt see you),the other's sitting at Worthing so I've no idea whats going on.Also the 3 new Scania/JDC Rescue Units are still not on the run for what ever reason.I'm sure in the end though the brigade will sort it all out.Keep watching this site-Pete.
