Another Bedford stand-by at Minehead - 1987

Mid. 1980s and yet another major heath fire in the area ties up the Minehead District appliances. This time, stand-by cover comes from Taunton in the shape of their 1984 Bedford/Saxon WrT, A 618 OYA.

If I remember rightly this TK Saxon later moved to Chard. Somerset had 9 of these new FYC91-3Y, A618-20OYA & B871-3XYA plus the rebodied VYB73W of all of these VYB is the only one that still exists.

Yes you are right chard had this pump and its sister A619 OYA where they finished their operational service.
