Portuguese volunteer fire services provide most of the fire cover in the country, and the majority of them have response areas which include serious brush fire hazards.

For this reason, Unimogs are very popular, despite their very high initial cost. They can access areas which cannot be entered by any other wheeled vehicles.

This unit, with a full crew cab for five or six plus a 3, 000 liter tank, has a decent amount of locker space too - and looks as if it can fill a useful role as a backup structure fire pumper as well as its obvious primary role as a brush truck.
