a true classic I can remember ward end A6 having 1 of these after a ERF hp then they had a new ERF hp now they have a MAN snozzle. A1 central use to have one of these as well till cost cutting came in.
now Birmingham hasn't got a station in the city centre,

Birmingham may not have a fire station in the city centre anymore, but it was all due to ' cost cutting ' as it was costing the brigade too much to keep the old Headquarters at A1 central open and would've proved cheaper to build a new Headquarters. My Father is a firefighter and when he joined the Brigade, the West Mids had , 8 Hps/T.T.L and now currently only have 3 Hydraulic Platforms, these stationed at Walsall,Oldbury and Bournbrook, with the Water Rescue Tower stationed at Ward end.
Ironically Walsall now house A6 Ward end's old H.P.

JB, I believe Coventry Central still run a HP. But I can remember WMFS having TEN operational aerials.

In June 1990 for instance:

A Division: TL at A1-Central. HP at A6-Ward End.
B Division: HP at B1-Solihul. TL at B3-Coventry.
C Division: HPs at C4-Bournbrook & C7-Ladywood.
D Division: HP at D1-Oldbury. TL at D2-Brierly Hill.
E Division: ALP at E1-Walsall. HP at E5-Wolverhampton.

Coventry still has a HP a T reg ERF.Warwickshire have gor 2 carps 1 going to Nuneaton which means the HP from coventry won't be the nearest aerial which has been covering that part of warwickshire for the last 5 years. The other one will go to leamington spa and replace there V reg ERF. I don't think solihull has a HP anymore.

I will be re installing a set of ladders back on this machine in the near future c964 jok. Has any body know how simple or hard this would be ?

JIMMY; do send us some pictures of the work in progress, to show us the details, so we can learn how it works.(I have only ever seen an Aerial TTL in a static position - up, or, down)

I understand, that the Magirus Turntable is still present; and that you only need the actual telescoping Aerial Ladders, themselves ?

Now, Learned Readers, is it possible to fit, and operate, another Manufacturer's Ladders to this Turntable ?
