2009 Ford Search Dog Unit.
This purpose built just delivered 2009 Ford Van of the West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service is used by the Technical Response Unit,which is part of the Urban Search and Rescue Unit,and is used as a Search Dog Unit.Try saying all that after a couple of pints.
The somewhat unusual appliance was photographed at Worthing Fire Station Open Day on Saturday 26th July,and is just one of the many different types of appliances now that are being put into use for search and rescue operations by the fire services nationally.The WSF&RS also use a Dog Unit as part of the Fire Investigation Team.
