Buckinghamshire Volvo QuintThe star of the Buckinghamshire fleet is this unique appliance, an American-style 'Quint' combining the roles of rescue pump and turntable ladder. At almost 12 metres long it is by far the brigade's largest vehicle and has GB Fire bodywork on a 6x2 Volvo FM9 chassis with a steering rear axle. The ladder is a 24-metre Magirus transferred from its predecessor, a 1995 Iveco TL stationed at Newport Pagnell. The Quint is seen at its home station of Great Holm during the 2009 open day, having missed last year's event through being off the run at the time.
