This appliance wasn't arriving to repair appliances, the Technical Support Unit is Strathclyde Fire and Rescue's Hazmat Unit. This vehicle is basically a mobile laboratory used by SFR's Scientific Advisers to analyse hazardous materials and carry out research to provide advice to the incident commander on how to deal with Hazmat incidents.
