This is very like that old Corgi model that was available in the 60's. (except that was red of course)

Im happy to add some information to this Bedford's story. It is a 1965 TK Bedford/Simon Snorkel DS 50 hydraulic platform/pumper, the first Hydraulic Platform Fire Appliance for Tasmania, and is reported to be the first appliance of its type to be used in the Southern Hemisphere. Beginning its service at the Launceston brigade in 1965, primarily an aerial appliance, its plumbing layout gave it versatility to operate as an urban pumper also complete with water tank and hose reels etc. It served the Launceston brigade until being superseded by a more modern HP in 1979, where it was transferred to Ulverstone Fire Brigade and served there until its decommissioning in March 1992. It entered service in red livery, but in an effort to improve its visibility following it being singed at the 1979 Kings Wharf fire, it had an experimental colour change to Iofane yellow. Currently it is back in the hands the Tas. Fire Service where volunteers are at work with a full restoration underway so it can be returned to its original livery and be shown off to the public once again.
