Feuerwehr Duisburg steam fire engine

This 1902 Beduwe steam powered fire engine service with the Fire Brigade of Duisburg in Germany. The firm Beduwe had two factory's, one in Belgium (Luik) and one in Germany (Aachen). This steam engine was built in Germany and had a three cylinder pump.

Louis - love it when these wonderful old Steamers, are rigged up with their horse-team and crew, as they would have looked when in service.
Not the same, when they are just a dusty museum exhibit, in a corner.
Love the crew's pickelhaube (spiked) helmets; and of course the Officer has to have a sword... gee, that might give ideas to some of today's Fire Managers (<;}
