AFW125X Bedford TK ex-Kirton
AFW125X Bedford tk wrt ex kirton, lincolnshire manufactured and built by hcb angus in 1981. Still fully operational and now belongs to fire brigade preservation services and is used for private fire cover work and for charity fund raising events.
It is fully kitted out and attends events with five crew members driver/pump operator. The godiva pump is in excellent working condition and can still deliver 35 bar high pressure and 10 bar low pressure. The air siren and beacons are still fitted and all working fully .this is the only fully operational lincolnshire bedford around. Nice to drive and operate ,just wish it had got power steering !

Nice to see one of the old Bedfords of Lincolnshire still around.
This started its life at Boston fire Station as a WrL in 1981 and served their according to the lists I have until between 1988 & 1994 that period I don't have any info on but know that in 1988 kirton still had LFW 598 V and by 1995 Kirton had Volvo J632HFW. anyone any idea when it went from Boston to Kirton and any other tops in between before it was a reserve?
