Oh dear, another brigade getting contaminated with the 'Scania Pox' one day when these 'fancy machines' are ready for replacement people will look back and realise how good the Dennis Rapiers and Sabres were ! - dearer but built in smaller quantities just like a TVR or Morgan compared with a Ford but we all know which is the better.

i will try and get some more shots of the rapier before she disappears to some drill yard corner somewhere in the county and left to rot in the weather like all the mk1s which will be disappearing once these mk2s get on to the reserve scene

To Rick Loudon.
You could always come to Cleveland and see our Sabres. We have several of them, and they look really smart alongside their Scania station mates.
I remember making similar comments to this in the 80's when the SS type Dennis appliances were new and busy replacing wonderfull things like AEC's and Dodges. Time as always moves on, These days, as long as it's in Cleveland livery with it's white front, then it's a worthy machine regardless of it's chassis type.

Hi Calvin. I just wondered whether you knew which Sabre in the County will be moving to your station.
