Thornycroft Manchester Airport Fire serviceAnother of Manchester airport's unique fire trucks.Thornycroft Sun (i think). There were 2 similar vehicles, one had 2 monitors and the other had 1 monitor. They each carried different amounts of media, one had 850 galls water and 120 galls foam, the other had 1000 galls water and 60 galls foam, but i'm not sure which one carried which amount.
Registration numbers were VVR 530 and VVR 531.

to the monitors or through the sidelines as finished foam. The more 'conventional' way was the water/foam compound mixture was pumped to the 20X monitor or 10x branches on the side lines where air was introduced and finished foam produced and projected onto the fire. Hope this makes sense!
