IFA W50 Turntable ladder

This is an East German DL 30 "Drehleiter" (turntable
ladder) 30m/100ft on a IFA W50. The picture of it was taken on the 13th of May 2006 at Postoloprty in the Czech Republic, where it was still in use.

Thank you Andreas, a very basic design but it looks affective. Interesting that there seems to be no water monitor so I presume this was for rescue only?

No you can equip it with a water monitor. The monitor is stowed in a device box in the crew cab of the ladder. But if you want to use it you must line a hose along the ladder.
