This rather unusually compact 4X4 prime mover has a self-contained brush pump and tank pod. The thinking here is most probably that the pod is mostly seasonally called out - and this solution avoids having a dedicated brush unit hanging around and doing almost nothing for six or eight months every year...

The carrier can, after all, transport any other type of pod, as long as it is dimensionally compatible and within the chassis' GVW limits.
