Great picture,i used to drive for First in Glasgow and we had an old scanny tow truck which wouldn't pull you out of bed, never mind tow a bus.It was a single axle job ,therefore could not lift so everything had to be put 'on the bar'.When down in south we used to pull into other first depots to refuel or to park up for the night you would often see their proper recovery vehicles and it made me wonder why we had a truck that wasn't up to the job.Does anyone have pics of the ex fire appliances that apparently First own or did own,i saw them in a fire journal about 2 years ago with First fleetnames. THANKS BRISTOL BOB FOR PIC.

Hello Tommy, glad you like the picture.I know that First used to have the ex Moreton Dennis ET as an air bag truck, they have also had 2 ex Avon Dodge WRT's,one in full First colours, the other in red with First markings,i have some pics but they are not my copyright,e mail me if you want to.
Its taken in Bristol from what i can see down by the river by the docks. It was originally based at Patchway and then transferred to Avonmouth about eleven years ago when Avonmouth did a swap for their hydraulic platform just as Cribbs causeway shopping center opened.

The picture is taken on Clarence Rd by the River Avon and not far from the rail station.
