Hi Ian, yes the one next to this appears to be the Dennis modelled by Corgi. And on the other side is the TL DEF420D. Why can't Corgi model the TL and the ET?

You're right - it is indeed EF 9878 as modelled by Corgi. It was originally a PE of course, becoming a PL much later in its life.

This is a Bedford J4/Miles Emergency Tender seen here at Stranton Fire Station in Hartlepool. The Station is still operational today with Cleveland Fire Brigade, with the current ET being the Dennis H49KVN (which also serves as a CU).
On April 1st 1974, this Machine passed (along with all the other Hartlepool appliances at this time)to Cleveland County Fire Brigade upon that new County's creation. most of the machines except this one stayed here at Stranton till their disposals.
This machine was recived the only Hartlepool vehicle to recieve the full correct version of Cleveland's smart white front livery,in this vehicles case, the white extended up to the level of the frontal dome where the bells are mounted, and also was partly wrapped around the cab windows to the door post. In 1976 the machine moved to Station 2 Stockton (actually South Road Norton) where it stayed till it's withdrawl in 1979. It was replaced by the then new Dennis F133(DAJ700T) currently sitting in Monte's of Fencehouses Co Durham.
The ET's subsequent life is a little unclear after it's withdrawl, it apparently went to an ameteur Rock Group, and was then supposed to have been given to the Sheffield Fire Museum. (an old newspaper I have in my collection features a picture of the exhibits in this museum, and in the background, there's a Bedford/Miles which may well be this one)It would be great if someone could confirm or better still, put a picture(if one exists) up of this machine after it left Cleveland, and also it's current status.
