Tommy can you post some more pics of this van with its lights on. Tommy what is it you do with the brigade?

Hi scally, im now known as a support driver. My job is under review at the moment and there are big changes coming regarding shifts and 24 hour callout to incidents as back up for fire crews. We can now basically drive anything from staff cars to appliances in a civilian capacity. The blues and twos on the merc are disconnected.

The blues and twos are disconnected? Is that normal, even for a support vehicle?

Reminds me of the US Navy ambulances at the Norfolk Naval Base, Virginia, USA. The ambulances were equipped with reds and sirens, but NEVER allowed to use the sirens or go Code 3. I would see them go on a call, and stop at every red traffic signal and have to wait for the green before proceeding. I often wondered how the patients were able to survive the long travel times to the hospital.

Most non operational support units dont have blues and twos in SFR land, except for operational vehicles like the RRU above which are downgraded.Suppose two tones and blues are disconnected to make sure vehicle cannot be used on shouts after its downgrading.
