AEC Regent SVK 420

The photo shows SVK420 an AEC Regent from Newcastle and Gateshead formerly with Winterton Hospital near Sedgefield in Co Durham. It was their 'works' appliance for many years before being replaced by an ERF. This machine has been in preservation for a while now, but as can be seen is unrestored.

Well Chris, this appliance really does need a new coat of paint and a little
spit & polish now she's in presevation.I certainly hope the owner conciders
taking this on asap and we again see her looking like she did in days gone.

This machine has just been featured on the tv progam The Removal Men about Pickfords......its kept on a farm in Co Durham and owned by a 82 year old man.....it looks exactly the same as it does on the pic. It started first time though !!!!

Is it possible to see or visit this fire engine? My father was a nurse at Winterton Hospital, and a volunteer on the Fire Brigade. He used to drive this engine, and it would be great to see it again.
