1986 Shelvoke&Drewry/Carmichael/Bronto Skylift This picture shows what is believed to be one of only 2 Bronto's that were true hydraulic platforms,
and not an ALP (Aerial Ladder Platform). The first was a demonstration HP appliance that was on a
Shelvoke and Drewry chassis and which actually went to the Cleveland County Fire Brigade and was
given the registration-A999 HAJ.......For original demonstration HP look at:(picture 8081).
This appliance is a 1986/7 Shelvoke&Drewry/Carmichael/Bronto Skylift 27.3mtr Hydraulic Platform
of the Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service and served at the lovely old Central Fire Station in the
City of Leicester and is actually beleaved to be the only other true hydraulic platform from Bronto.
Concidering the historical nature of this photograph, has anyone taken a photograph of the original
demonstration (A999 HAJ) Bronto HP whilst it was in service with Cleveland County Fire Brigade?.
