1986 Shelvoke&Drewry/Carmichael/Bronto Skylift

This picture shows what is believed to be one of only 2 Bronto's that were true hydraulic platforms,
and not an ALP (Aerial Ladder Platform). The first was a demonstration HP appliance that was on a
Shelvoke and Drewry chassis and which actually went to the Cleveland County Fire Brigade and was
given the registration-A999 HAJ.......For original demonstration HP look at:(picture 8081).
This appliance is a 1986/7 Shelvoke&Drewry/Carmichael/Bronto Skylift 27.3mtr Hydraulic Platform
of the Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service and served at the lovely old Central Fire Station in the
City of Leicester and is actually beleaved to be the only other true hydraulic platform from Bronto.
Concidering the historical nature of this photograph, has anyone taken a photograph of the original
demonstration (A999 HAJ) Bronto HP whilst it was in service with Cleveland County Fire Brigade?.

Thanks to Chris Hall, the only other beleaved to be true Shelvoke Drewry/Bronto hydraulic platform, the one that was the demonstrator can now be viewed on this site in the livery of Cleveland County Fire Brigade.
I'd like to thank Chris for submitting the other photo(picture 17571),I did wonder if someone might have a picture to share with us.Thankyou.

Well thanks very much for the compliment Pete. However, I must say that it was only photographed because it was part of the Cleveland Fleet.
I was, and still am, trying to capture this Brigade on film. I have most of Cleveland's machines from the 80's through to now period, but am still after many of the pre 1980 vehicles. I think I might have a picture of Cleveland's Bronto whilst it was at Maltby Auctions awaiting disposal a few years ago. However, I'll have to check this.
