This Rosenbauer bodied MAN is a bit of a hybrid effort - not quite the same as a standard German rescue pumper, but by no means an airport crash truck either!

What makes it different from a Dusseldorf city unit? More powerful pump, bigger tank and increased foam making capacity, but most of the rest is unchanged...

Many other German city airports simply use standard specification rescue pumps alongside their crash trucks, such as the Mercedes Atego from Berlin's Tempelhof pictured on this site.

Finger fumble! Berlin's Tempelhof rescue pump shown on this site is of course also a MAN Rosenbauer, and they have not bought anything except MAN for a few years now, but it has a standard 2000 LPM pump and 1200 liter tank.
