Hi The appliance is a Bedford Fire Warrior built by a scottish company called Fulton & Wylie, it was part of a number of these appliances donated by Strathclyde Fire Brigade to Malaysia
This is not a Dennis WRL but a Shelvoke and Drewry WRL.The Shelvoke emblem is clearly visible at the engine hood

Met the station crew - they say there are still about 15 of these in use. Parts are sourced from the many decommissioned Bedfords the Malaysian Fire Dept have. Although used primarilly by the training dept. - these tenders have been called on quite often as they are tough and can be use to access remote areas as they can take rough terrain better than the modern tenders. If anything breaks - its quite quick to fix.

Maybe all Bedford trucks are 'programmed' to work under extreme conditions.

Bedford vehicles were built to last, if anyone has photos of bedford appliances anywhere in the world, then please share them with bedford fans on the bedford register website at www.bedford-world.com
Also to add - the Malaysian Fire Dept still has over 20 Bedford kept in running condition as spare tenders at central depots whenever a Scania or Nissan Tender is under maintenance. They say these can be kept running for another 10 years at least.
