Dublin Airport Authority Fire Service Timoney R2

The R 2 is a Rapid Intervention Vehicle (R.I.V.) dating from 1985 and built by Timoney. The Officer-in-Charge rides on R2 and it also acts as the Command Vehicle in the early stage of an incident, identified by the elevated red and white beacons on the rear.
R2 carries 4040 litres of water, 540 litres of foam, 100 kilos BCF and 200 kilos of water.

R2 will be joining our Thornycroft, RangeRover and Bedford in our preserved fleet.There were only 3 of these Timoneys built, Cork have one still in service and I believe the Irish Air Corps have scrapped their one
