Yes thats the vehicle I remember and the more I see pictures of it the more I regret not buying it - I was new to vintage fire engines at the time! from memory I believe the side roller shutter was a later fitting - replacing hinged locker doors

this was commissioned by West Ham Fire Brigade and then passed to London FB on the absorption of WHFB into London in 1965. I am researching the history of WHFB, especially their fleet, so could anybody with information please email me. Thanks.

chassis survives as HHF84, a lorry, but rather confusingly with a scrapped Wallasey AEC Merryweather TL registration!
