Is that 23m or 32m?

It is actually 30m (when it comes to TLs, '32' is merely an advertising trick Metz uses, it is the max. height the rescuer can reach with his hands while standing in the basket - which itself can be lifted to a mere 30m). 23/12 means that it can reach 23 meters up while reaching out 12m away from the turntable.

Good looking bit of kit based on the Iveco Eurocargo chassis, but i admit that i've never seen a version of this cab with a nose job!

I must admit John, and you know my views on commercial chassis, this looks quite stable. Or does the low cab give that impression?

Hi John, i feel exactly the same, i get the feeling that the low can is for height restrictions on the overall vehicle travelling height rather than a special build.

You are quite right in thinking that ANY commercial vehicle chassis that wasn't designed as a fire appliance will always be a compromise in handling and stability, the sad fact is money counts whilst lives these days seem to be worthless.

Hi out there!This is the third generation of the Magirus Dlk 23/12 n.B. n.B.=low profile.And it has HZL=Hinter Zusatz Lenknung, rear wheel steering.

This is not the newest one, after this an ex demonstrator was bought painted in normal red ral 3000.Since 2011 this NB ladder has been scrapped of the production line therefore the newest NB in Essen is build on Mercedes Econis chassis.
