This photo is of 1 of 2 new trucks for the NSWFB Bushfire Rescue section and is used in Hazard Reductions and Bushfire Fighting Operations Don't know the spec but the truck looks good.
Nice photo Ron, like so many Aussie machines, this looks like its designed by firemen! The volunteer brigades have some really good kit! Perhaps somebody could give us some info on the spec?
The truck is a 2008 Fuso Canter FG649 4WD Single Cab, 3.9 litre turbocharged intercooled diesel, 5 speed transmission and 2 speed transfer case. Not too sure about the rest! Joe
This truck was horrible! According to a friend in the designing section, they didn't think it through and the result was a useless little thing like this. Only 1 was ever made and they scrapped the idea in favour of 4WD tankers that were posted to stations such as Menai and Barns Crescent
