These appliances are capable of carrying a crew of 10. When being used by wholetime crews as this Rescue Pump above they have a standard seating layout as seen in any other appliance with the space for the extra seating in the rear used as locker space to store maps etc. If the appliance is moved to a Retained (part-time) station the rear cab will be converted to hold the extra firefighters to make it a crew of 10. This usually happens if it is a 1 Pump retained station. The appliance above is the Rescue Pump from Dyce Fire Station (STN 78)Callsign 781. The station is a whole-time/retained station. 781 is crewed by whole-time crews, with the second pump (782) used by retained crews.
