Thanks for posting this "now" photo of Winchester's classic Dennis. This shot makes it appear that it is in a setting not too dissimilar to its home in Winchester where it sat for a quarter of a century---the glass doors are virtually the same which you can see when my photo of "then" is shown. Winchester had been loyal Dennis purchasers. Its old 1925-26 Dennis was destroyed by a Nazi bomb in 1940 while assisting in Southampton. A newer one, (I think it was 1 1930-31 model with number plates OT1678 served until ECG 272 was put into service then ran for a while, but by that time the City received quite a number of Home Office machines to supplement the 'specials' --the passenger car conversions, most of which had their backs cut off and a vnn box added along with a trailer hitch---not a good idea at all!

Murray, it would be great to see the Big 4 back out on the rally scene/historic road runs, it would be a fantastic advert for the museum and I am sure would create quite a stir within the preservation world. Go on!
