NSW Rural Fire Service - Fire Boat No.2

This is a picture of an old fire boat which was used by the Warringah Pittwater area of the Rural Fire Service which is located in the northern beaches area of Sydney, New South Wales. It was a catamaran hulled boat with 2x225hp counter rotating outboard motors. There is a pump on the back work area, stainless steel to reduce corrosion from pumping salt water, the same design and water output as the RFS fire engines. The red thing on the roof is a monitor. Plumbing can be seen running the length of the boat on this side along the gunwhale. Surveyed to carry a crew of 6.
