Cheers Bryan! I read on another picture that there was plans for a Carp in Northern Ireland. Is there plans to replace the Bronto or more aerial appliances in the brigade?

Aye John I saw that on the other pic, I think the comment was about the Central Scotland CARP appliances, the ones that are to heavy & after two years aren't yet in service! The NIFRS has another Vema ALP on order & is for standardising the aerial fleet on Vema ALPs. I haven't heard anything (yet) about CARPs for the NIFRS but if they could find one that does what its meant to they could be a good '1st response' type aerial in some of the smaller towns like Enniskillen or Coleraine etc that are in some cases quite some distance away from the main aerial stations at Portadown, Belfast & Northland, L/Derry.

Thanks again Brian, good to know we will have a standard fleet of vehicles. I emailed one of the Transport managers and said there will be no carp on order. I think that reading comments on Carps, they are not doing well apart from in Scotland. The aerial rescue pumps in Strathclyde are doing really well. I agree with your comment though, the Brigade need to move things about to give cover to the whole province.
