Colma, California
I'm told this is a 1965 Ford Galaxie. Formerly of the Colma Fire Department in Northern California. Now it's privately owned. I photographed it in 1994 at the Peninsula Burn Relay which is a charity event raising money for a camp for pediatric burn survivors. Basically a huge parade of emergency vehicles of all types travels 70 miles from San Jose north to San Francisco, lights, air horns and sirens going the whole way, stopping to pick up donations at a firehouse in each town along the journey. Fire truck events don't get much cooler then that.
