Water rescue unit land Rover.YJ53 LHF. Land Rover 110 discovery, used by the water rescue unit to tow the 2 rescue boats based at York station. Seen hear reversing down a steep narrow lane in the City centre on sunday 7 September 2008, to assist with the recovery of 2 vans stuck in flood water in an underground parking area below a shop.

Over here, in Atlantic Canada - we are sharing the same experiences. "post-Tropical Revolving Storm 'Hanna' " [that's one notch below "Hurricane"] went and dumped 141 mm ( five-and-a-half inches ) of rain on us yesterday. Spared us the wind-damage - but, all that water has to go somewhere; simply amazing where the water goes, and what it does enroute. So we, too, have several weeks of clean-up and damage repair.
