Is the word Fire on the Light bar meant to be crooked? I guess they will apply another transfer backwards on the other side

Nice machine but sadly these machines are too tall for a lot of the retained stations (especially ours at the ferry 581).
Mind you am fond of our old machine!

In reply to Briantwigley - i think that the siren speaker is next to the 'FIRE' sign - you can just make out the grill in the plastic.

stevie wat machine is 581 at the mo, i liked linlithgows old 1 L283NSC, however i like the new 1 they recently got

581 is still the old style scanny an 'N' reg. Linlithgow's old machine is currently in Crewe Toll's appliance bay sitting as a spare machine.

also briantwigley the lightbars are not rectangular, they have a slopine edge at front and back of them

This appliance has just been replaced this week by an 09 plate Scania P270

Hi Andy,
They test fitted the machine at our station and with a minor bit of restructuring to the appliance in regards to the roof ladder, she will fit ( at long last ).

well this machine as of tonight at 2100hrs became the new 581 though still doesn't fit properly in the station. the workshops have yet to lower the gantries so she can fit in properly. at the mo, her nose is almost touching the bay door.

Stevie, has there been another Fire sign added to the machine in the middle of the blue lights? It doesn't look right with just the one FIRE sign on the right hand side.

Hi Mark,
There is a small grill next to the lettering on the lightbar hence the offset lettering. The gantry finally got lowered which gave us an extra whole inch and half to use!!!! Still tight fit and still quite close to bay door. LOL they will never learn.
