LEYLAND CUB FK 1 1933 LEYLAND CUB FK 1 1933 registration FG 9026 new to Kirkcaldy Town Council in Scotland. one of two similar FK1s built - one for Dundee and one for Kirkcaldy - both built as open cabs but with 'New World ' bodys for the crew, FG 9026 had a cab added within 5 years of being built, most probably to coincide with the opening of the new fire station in Dunikier Road Kirkcaldy. It cost £1561.00p when new, and was purchased in February of 2007 in Elgin after having been stored there for 25 years after seeing further use with Tullis Russell paper mills. It now resides in North Lincolnshire and will run with the rest of the appliances in my collection in memory of Mark who passed away earlier this year.
