1936 Morris Commercial GV 4619 ex Greene King Brewery, attending the Bank Holiday vintage vehicle rally at the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, Quainton, near Aylesbury, in August 2008.
Would the whole thing have been built at the Mooris factory; or would another firm have built the body, pump and plumbing; on a Morris chassis and engine ?
Sorry Pat, no idea who made the body but it's unlikely to have been a Morris factory job. I took this photo rather hurriedly as it was leaving so I didn't get a chance to have a closer look.
this is very similar to the one i have and the mechanicals were morris commercial and body was fitted by Merryweather the only thing that's different is the hatfield pump is on ours this one has no pump

Jason: I understand from your Post above, that this truck, as we look at her, currently has no pump.
But, when she was in service; she would have been fitted with a pump - perhaps, another Hatfield ?
Adam & Jason; thanx for the info. Regards, from Canada, Pat_R-B
this machine has a water tank only it was designed as i am told by the owner as a towing vehicle for a dennis trailer pump but due to its size and weight he rarely tow's it later machines have larger tanks and higher gpm hatfield pump

Now this vehicle could have originaly beena Beer Dray(delivery)for GK, visited then some years back and they Had a coverlet Leyland Comet Water Tender that had been converted from another Dray lorry, this is only a suggestion, i may be wrong

Great photo.Regards, from Canada, Pat_R-B
