Be great to see it back in Surrey one day, hard to believe that this is the same machine as in the first photos and all achieved in such a short space of time. Nice one.

There are plans to return to Surrey and do a tour of local stations in her region. maybe with 1 AMX Dennis (f12)and 96 SPK Dennis (f24) ?
Over the winter she will be on axle stands having her "major" service although this one will be more intense in having brakes stripped checked and refilled, engine/axle drain, hydraulic oil change, master cylinders & wheel cylinders overhauled, in cab re paint, king pins cleaned re oiled, slew ring greased, ladder lubed, safety pawls overhauled, so even though a lions share of the work is done, ongoing maintainance is endless these machines were on 6 week rolling service and its fitting that this routine should carry on once the "major" is done!
thanks to all that have shown interest and especially those that have helped like... Garcia Hanson, John Bowen, John Dreysey, FSPG members messr's Stevens& Curtis, sfrs (Reigate), John Bull, Jez Lambley, JDC, Den Osman, Roger Brown, Chertsey Fire station staff, Surrey history center, Rolls Royce Ltd, Borg-warner (GM) and the farmer that donated her to me one cold november day 2006 William White thank you!! and to all the above it would not have been possible without you!! j
