Comments

The Fire department of my early childhood got a new Seagrave triple combination in the early fourties that sold me on Seagrave equipment. It replaced several Ahrens-Fox pumpers. They were kept in reserve.

I can remember taking Fire Training, as a Coast Guard Cadet, with one of these Seagrave pumpers, at the old Royal Canadian Navy Base at Point Edward, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. The Base Fire-Hall also included a Seagrave Ladder Truck, of similar looks, also had a pump.
St John's, Newfoundland, also had one, with stainless-steel fittings, for pumping the readily available sea-water.
They were built in Canada, under license, I believe.
Thanks for the memories.
