Hi Rodger, It's great to see this vintage Magirus, and it reminds me that in this same time frame the city of Chicago had a few Swiss Saurers which were similar to this Magirus. Have any survived, and if so where? Any pics anyone?
Bob I not aware Chicago had any Swiss Saurers. Will check on the info at the Chicago muster father's day weekend. Thanks.

Bob Chatted with the CFD retired shop chief and he advised he did not recall any Swiss Saurer chassis ladder trucks at CFD. He has been a long time member of SPAAMFAA and would remember if CFD had Saurers. He did said Chicago had several Mack Magirus aerial in the 50s.
Stewart, doesn't this picture show the Magirus that was once with the City of Gary F.D.in Indiana?.It also clearly states that its owned by Rodger Birchfield who actually took the picture.
Greetings Gentlemen. Thank you for the inquiry. Yes, I own the Gary Magirus. It is a fun rig.
