1924 American La France Trible Combination
1924 American La France Trible Combination.Type 12 fire engine of the Oshkosh F.D.Wisconsin,USA.This was the first piece of apparatus to be collected by the museum founder,George F.Getz,jr.back in 1961.(Note-right hand drive?)
The Hall of Flame Fire Museum located in Phoenix,Arizona has almost an acre of fire history exhibits,with over 90 fully restored fire fighting pieces of apparatus on display dating from as far back as 1725 up to 1969.Its well worth a visit.

I have wondered if it was to enable the Driver/Engineer to easily spot the rig at the hydrant curb-side, and likely have the Pump Panel on that side, too.
Or was it just a slow change-over, from horse-drawn engines; and the Driving Position was a matter of debate.
Perhaps, our USA contributors can give us the "good gen" on this subject.
