This Oshkosh crashtender was just on his way to relieve his colleagues.
There is always one crashtender on stand-by duty next to the runway of the airport. They are standing next to the runway for 2 hours before they are relieved by another team.

The Port Authority Police Department (PAPD), New York also owns this Oshkosh crash tender which is operated by PAPD fire department which cover the New Jersey.
