The NASKEF fire brigade has two fire stations. The main station is for the normal fire fighting tasks. The offices fot the officers are also in this building.
The other station houses the crashtenders and equipment for de-icing and removing snow the runways.
This Pierce pumper is stationed in the second fire station. It is almost the same as the Pierce pumper number 13.

Comments:
is it normal for fire trucks in Iceland to be American made trucks equipped with red and blue flashing lights (I'm used to European emergency vehicles using all blue flashing lights)?

Added by Dave on 08 November 2007.
Hi Dave, This vehicle is one from the US Navy. Normal Icelandic vehicles have the normal blue lights. Older vehicles are American made, but the latest models are European made trucks.
