Mick, I can remember you posting your pictures afew months ago of
Waterford and they were great.I passed a comment at the time about
the livery.I especially liked the photo 4244 showing the Dennis F2
cared for and looked after by your station-A brilliant photograph.

Mick and Pete - your F2's are beauts, and good to see so many preserved in Eire.
Do you know, this one, JUE 612, with single bench seat, could pass for a North American sedan-body rig - once you removed the Escape, of course......it would have us all puzzling over the RHD !
Regards, from Canada,

I am trying to trace another 1948 dennis fire engine. Its a monsanto chemicals engine - supposedly in a museum now but having no luck finding it?? any ideas please, as your engine is the same era.

Zoe, the appliance in question I think your asking about is FDW 389. This was a 1948 Dennis F1 PFOT, and yes this was at the Monsanto Chemical Works in Newport, South Wales. The appliance is owned by W.A.F.E.R.S.The Welsh Area Fire Engine Society which was founded in 1994.W.A.F.E.R.S.is based at Unit 34, Lonlas- Village Workshops near Skewen, where a small fire museum has been established.
Hope this helps. Pete.
