Sudurnesja Ford Oldtimer

This very nice looking Ford Oldtimer was parked outside the fire station of Keflavik (Iceland). And of course I took my Canon 300D and took some lovely pictures. The weather was also good looking for Iceland so here it is. It is a Ford with an American bodywork. If anyone have more information about this Fire truck please let me know.

That could be one of the Class 500 pumpers used by the US Army in Iceland during WWII. I have seen pictures of other Army rigs used in Iceland during that era.

Good to see that it has been kept up.
Probably only room for 2 in the cab; the other crew would have ridden on the back-step, holding on to the cross-bar.
Great photo - looks like ex-Military Base buildings in back-ground.
