Pavel, brilliant picture of the old AEC/Merryweather 100ft Turntable Ladder from Western Austalia, are we any nearer though saying that Canberra's was a 125ft Turntable Ladder?.Picture 4860.I can see me having to send my picture in to get the facts straight once and for all.Lets be honest, if the Northern Territory can have a 125 Turntable Ladder, why can't the ACTFB have one?.....Pete M.
According to Steve Schueler Book (Fire Engines In Australia & New Zealand ISBN 3887760638) From the book ' Two of these AEC/Merryweather 30mtr Turn Table Ladders are on the WAFB list, the ACT one is listed as being 118'(ft?) (2 in at that time, one went to Sydney), NT's listed as an ERF 84RS/Metz 36mtr Ladder on 1974 vintage
