1970 Dennis F45 ex Northern Territory Fire Brigade
The F45 sits in a paddock, slowly deteriorating. The local modifications included a replacement body from the top of the windscreen back.

Hi Soren -
This appliance is currently unregistered, but does have the Northern Territory registration plate "1I" (one eye) displayed. This is NOT the registration that it had as an operational vehicle, but most likely what it was registered under once decommissioned. This fire truck was originally supplied by Dennis Bros as a (twin cab) wheeled escape. After it was retired as a front-line appliance, it was chopped up by the NT Fire Service workshops to make a water carrier out of it to use in the rural area, where there were no hydrants. It carried so much water that the poor old Dennis brakes couldn't stop the truck at intersections or traffic lights, so many is the time (I am told) that the lights and sirens were turned on to allow it to travel through a stop sign or red traffic light. In fact, the tank ended up being shortened to drop the water-holding capacity, and lighten the load!
hello Lou tell him i will do it up for him i done my own one up my self get back to me on splmooney@gmail.com or 0861285796 thak would be grate thanks!!!
