Tiger Hose Company 8
This apparatus is on permanent display at the New York City Fire Museum. Manufactured by Pine and Hartshorn, this hose wagon was in service with Astoria Hose Company Number Eight of the Long Island City Fire Department, which became part of the FDNY in 1898. The carriage uses 4-wheel steering and a patented running gear, enabling it to make tighter turns.
